Disadvantages of Green Dot Prepaid Cards

Nothing in this world is perfect, including aging. In addition to the pros, Green Dot Prepaid Cards have some cons. Let’s look at the downsides of this prepaid card.

1. ATMs Are Not Free

According to our previous prepaid card reviews, there are many prepaid cards that offer free ATM withdrawals. But at the end of the day, there is no free ATM withdrawal option here. Each ATM withdrawal costs $2.50. You can read it on their help page.

2. No Free Reloads

I didn’t like this side either. There is no free cash reload option. Each time you reload your card, you must pay $5.95. I think it’s too much.

3. Expensive Overall

How Do I Activate My Green Dot Prepaid Visa or MasterCard?

Open the card packet and download the Green Dot App from Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store. Open the application after it has been installed.

  2. Please enter the 16-digit card number.
  3. Enter the expiration date and CVV and click next.
  4. Please enter your information, such as your full name, phone number, address, and more.
